Resident Evil REMAKE 2 more like DEMAKE is inferior to the original and does little to stand on its own like the original REMAKE did

Resident Evil remake 2 is a decent game but an awful remake, and will disappoint any fans of the original/fixed camera games, but zoomer crapcom shills whose first game was RE4 will eat this shit up with a smile and call it a 10/10

I only have 2 complaints against RE2make:

>Intro segment of the initial city exploration was chopped out in favor of a quicker entrance to the RPD, and partially added in between the RPD / Sherry/Ada segments.
>A/B Scenarios are only different in your entry to the RPD, as opposed to being an entirely parallel route through the entire game with unique areas and boss fights

Still a great game nonetheless. It stayed very true to the original, and the complaints mentioned above are my only complaints. Looking forward to speedrunning HC Leon and Claire runs for the infinity minigun and RL.

As someone who played the original, there were certain aspects I was waiting for that never really happened. I remember the lab being full of advanced lickers, but now the lab has exactly 2 completely normal lickers.

There were no spiders, which bums be out because I was eagerly anticipating spiders, but at the same time, the Sewers section feels complete enough that it didn't need spiders, and it almost felt like spiders would have distracted. The sewers was about the G-adults, which are frankly spookier than spiders, and seeing the whole place being taken over by those creatures was interesting and different. The spiders work in RE1 as part of the "old spooky mansion" vibe but in RE2 they're not super necessary. To be honest the whole "t-virus made this thing really big" is lazy monster design. Moths aren't even scary.

Same as the lab, it never felt like there needed to be more rooms with more lickers, the lab section felt complete in itself, but somehow stripped down at the same time.
